How Leadcrease Helped Jeweler to Outrank Competitors
After 14 years in business, the owners of a watch repair and retail store called Montrose Jewelers reached out to Leadcrease for help selling watches and jewelry online. While the store’s owners Montrose Jewelers Albert and John were interested in starting to sell their products online, they also wanted to increase the amount of foot traffic they had coming into their store. A great way to make that happen is by being found online with the help of Leadcrease.
Focusing on Local SEO Work
There were a couple of things hurting the business of Montrose Jewelers. When they started working with Leadcrease, they didn’t have a website at all. Information about their business online had multiple phone number discrepancies. We got to work building an eye-catching eCommerce website that showcases the watches and other items offered for sale while providing customers with the ability to make purchases online.
We used our local SEO technology to correct errors in business listings to may sure they were 100% accurate across the web. We cleaned up the store’s Google My Business listing, which improved the performance of their listings with more customers taking an action such as looking for directions to the store.
Leveraging Online Reviews
One way that potential customers decide who to do business with is by reading online reviews. When we started working with Montrose Jewelers, the business had 29 reviews on Google with an overall rating of 3.7. We worked together to add their list of 554 customers to our dashboard, and we sent these customers an automated request for an online review.
The goal was to increase the total number of reviews online as well as the overall rating. We were able to increase the review count to 45 online reviews and the overall rating increased to 4.1. This is especially significant because it’s a better rating than the 3.8 rating of the local Kay Jewelers.
Improved Local Pack Ranking
Another way to improve rankings among local listings is with Google Local Pack. This refers to featured results that appear when a user does a local search. The local pack is shown at the top of the page as a map and a list of businesses nearby that are likely to meet the needs of the user. The Google local pack takes up a lot of space on the SERP, which means business included in the local pack experience increasing visibility.
Since Leadcrease has added useful content to the new website and generated more reviews on the Google My Business listing, Montrose Jewelers has appeared in the local pack 136 times. Best of all, it’s outperforming local competitors.
Google Ad Campaign
With an effective website attracting business, we ran a Google ad campaign to generate even more exposure. Over the course of a month, the ad was viewed well over 61,000 times and attracted 550 visitors to the website.
